Rarri Jackson x Filling Pieces
Late last year, we asked our community a simple question: if you could design the patch on our loafer, what would it look like? Hundreds of ideas came in. Ten made the shortlist. One was chosen, not by us, but by you. Dutch-Somali artist Rarri Jackson's winning entry has now been developed into a limited-edition Filling Pieces loafer, carrying his naïve, impressionistic style from canvas to leather.
A community picked the design. Rarri gave it a voice. Together, they built a loafer worth telling a story about.

The Loafer
This marks Rarri Jackson's first move into footwear, and he approached it the way he approaches a canvas.
His work is known for bold colour, playful composition and quiet reflections on identity, memory and daily life, and all of that carries through here. Rather than adapting his art to fit a shoe, he built the shoe around his art. The result is unmistakably his.
The Craft
Every pair is handcrafted in Portugal using premium leather, with a full leather lining inside. It is where Filling Pieces' construction standards meet Rarri's creative direction, so the finish stays true to both. Nothing about it is rushed, and nothing about it is generic.
The Campaign
Instead of shooting the shoe on its own, the campaign turns the camera on the people and pets that shaped it.
Seven dogs, drawn from the imagery in Rarri's original artwork, appear alongside the friends who have supported his creative path from the start. Together they map out the everyday world the design actually came from, the relationships, routines and small moments Rarri draws inspiration from.

"I've been a fan of Filling Pieces for a long time, so being able to see one of my paintings translated into a loafer feels very special. The design is inspired by my dogs, which are such an important part of my everyday life and creative world. It felt like a very natural way to bring my work into a different medium."
